[SOLVED] Update attempt failed w Error code 8

Hi, my GRC SQRL just alerted to a new update, but fails with Error code 8 ( from other thread, seems to be "Downloaded update failed Authenticode verification"). I'm on Windows 10 64
and only have Defender running. Current SQRL version is 0.0.7046.64, release 64. Anything further I can do to troubleshoot? Thx, Scott

That might (I do not remember version numbers exactly) predate the fix that was made and will never update on its own in that case. So I think you need to manually update SQRL by downloading latest version and shutting down currently running SQRL and then running the new one to make it update itself properly.

I got caught by the same thing. Resurrected a system I had't started up in a few months.
