I've never used it before, but it's been called out in the past for offering security improvements... And I wonder if it interacts with SQRL in a positive way...

Thanks! I used to use it a lot before Windoze 10 added a real sandbox.

The main benefit of SandboxIE for me was not security (it did nice try but it was not locked tight like a VM) but rather the fact that you can run a program and then check all the things it changed in the file system and in the registry. For that, it is still pretty good even today. Use it while it lasts (because I doubt it would be properly maintained across future Microsoft kernel API changes)
