    How to dismiss alerts?

Just to be clear, the number in the red circle disappears when I click on Alerts but the items in the list remain. Maybe I didn't make this clear. I wanted the items on the list to be deleted.

    How to dismiss alerts?

Cleared the cache but no change. Trying it with Firefox now, still the same. Maybe it's something to do with Linux?

    How to dismiss alerts?

Using Chrome in Linux Mint 17.3 with Ublock Origin but this reports no requests blocked. Otherwise javascript isn't disabled. Chrome settings says popups blocked.

    How to dismiss alerts?

Clicking doesn't seem to do it for me - they remain.

    How to dismiss alerts?

I know you can select different kinds of alerts. I don't mind having them but when I click on the icon (top right of screen) and have read them, I'd like to remove some or all of them, similar to treating an email or newsgroup post as read. How do I remove them from the list of alerts?

Building Bert's Native Client for Linux

I finally made it work, here are the additional steps. First I moved ~/libsqrl and ~/sqrl into ~/projects as I figured using a projects directory would contain this better. So this meant I didn't have to change anything in the Makefile. The following commands threw some errors which I fixed...

Building Bert's Native Client for Linux

Hi Bert I had a go at this and wrote up my experience as follows: My build experience as a github novice: (I have some programming experience from long ago and a little basic Linux experience) (Using Linux Mint 18.3) The dependencies: ================= "SQRL depends on GTK-2.0, libsqrl...

Building Bert's Native Client for Linux

I have a .sqrl file from a trial of Steve's client. I seem to have lost the .exe so I downloaded the one I found dated 2 May in case I need to run it again. I had a look around github and found your github sqrl page, so I had a fiddle. I'm using Linux Mint 18.3 for this experiment which...

    POLL: NNTP or Web Forum

I do the same. So I was thinking would it be feasible to store the profile on an internet synced folder such as in Dropbox? Then maybe other devices could use this also when you are on the road.

    Thanks

So my thanks go to Adam as well. From choice I'd like to abandon Windows for several reasons but I keep my hand in because I support a club which uses Windows. I could have pushed Linux there but I don't think there will be anyone prepared to or capable of following me as a volunteer when I...

    Date format

I favour this format. It sorts properly and is language independent. Also it uses 24 hour format so no AM/PM ambiguity.

Why aren't we using Sqrl to log in?

Ok thanks for the clarification. But making people realise that they are making this choice is a whole new, and big, topic. I guess we'll only find out how that pans out after it has been adopted in some reasonable volume. It's perhaps the biggest weakness of sqrl as well as its biggest...

New Feature: Quick Search of Thread Titles

So does that mean the main search (top right) searches content as well as titles?

    FAO Steve?

Isn't that intended to bring the post to the attention of the moderators rather than Steve?

    FAO Steve?

@Steve. I thought maybe we shouldn't assume you will have time to read all the posts here so perhaps we need a thread to report items to bring to your attention? Deep in the thread on my OS poll in Bert Put's Linux client I mentioned I was unable to edit one of the poll choices, then it occurred...
